Arthurian legend says that "when the fisher is ready the rod will
appear".

When you have fished enough your next cast for guidance will be
answered and you will be "initiated" into the world of tournament
fishing and casting champions.

You have become a Fisher Knight of the Round Table and a
seeker of the Holy Grail of fly fishing. And your sword of
empowerment will be an Xcalibur fly rod.

Like the powerful and magical sword that was given to King Arthur
by the Lady of the Lake, the magical tapers of these fast+ action
rods will enable you to cast over 100' of line upon your command.

TWO FLY RODS IN ONE (dual-butt 1&3 weights) “A Super 22” Pack-Rod”

S 803-5pc: 2.6oz  Fast Action
S 641-4pc: 1.7oz  Moderate-Fast Action

The 8’0” 3 weight is a beautiful dry-fly and small nymph rod, laying-out up to 60-70' of 3 weight line with
pinpoint accuracy. It protects light tippets amazingly well, as witnessed by a 20" Brown this past spring on
6x! In the shorter configuration (6'4" 1 weight), it is a great brushy stream rod, allowing you to sneak into
the little-fished pockets and pull out large trout. It's a great little dry-fly rod, with perfect presentations out
to about 40' or so, like an Orvis Far-n-Fine.

4 weight

XL904-6pc:   3.0oz  Medium Fast Action
Available with a slide band seat or a wood insert slide band seat.
With the cork slide band it would be ~2.5oz, one of the lightest 4wts on the market.
Lady of the Lake edition (3.1oz): Perfectly fitted for women anglers.

5 weight

V 905-3pc:   3.7oz  Fast Action
Available with the nickel silver reelseat ~4.05oz and/or wire snake guides.

6 weight

X 906-4pc:  3.55oz Fast+ Action
Available with the nickel silver reelseat for ~3.9oz total.

8 weight

X 1008-4pc: 5.2oz, Moderate-Fast Action
Available with a reelseat with woven graphite insert -
Forecast RA8L2 would be 0.7oz lighter, for ~4.5oz total.

Fly Rod Blank Comparisons with Sage, Scott, Loomis, St. Croix

S Series

These blanks are 51 million modulus, medium fast action,
tip over butt ferrules with a matte black finish.

S = St. Croix Legend Ultra (pre-IPC) or Scott
SAS (now A2). Moderate-fast, quick recovery rod. Loads
Progressively. Optimum casting range 10' to 60'.

V Series

These blanks are 60 million modulus, High line speed,
“Exploded Ferrule” design, “Power Scrim” balanced graphite.
Blanks are available in Matte sanded (M) or Spiral (S) finish.

V = Sage XP
Moderate-fast, quick recovery rod.  Very similar to XP, with better dampening.
Light as a feather, too. 9'0' 5wt weighs in at 2.75oz.
A 9'0" 10wt in this series is a great tarpon fly rod.

X Series

These blanks are fast taper, 57 million modulus, tip action,
tip over butt ferrules with plenty of backbone and durability.
Finish color is satin gray.

X 9'0" = Cross between Loomis GLX and Sage TCR
Very fast rods, fast or faster than TCR, sensitive tip...the rod to have if you want to clear 105'+ of line.
NOT a beginning caster's rod.  Underrated by approximately a line weight.
A 9'0" 9wt in this series is a super fast permit fly rod.

X 10'0" = Loomis GLX
Supposedly more toward moderate-fast.  A Spey guru says 10'10wt is 'best he's ever cast'--pretty high
praise from someone who runs his own rod building company.

XL Series

These blanks are 57 million modulus with softer tapers than the Xs, a medium fast action with a light, crisp
feel. Finish color is a light satin gray.

All fly rods carry a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. With black cordura tube and rod sock.

Also available with an exquisite, handmade wood case $75 - $100.
